Forum: 78rpm Subject: Archived pages should be unaffected by robots.txt changes

I don't think it's a copyright violation to maintain pages after ulterior changes in robots.txt and the thing is I'm sure in most cases the domain holder doesn't even own the copyright. An example: the defunct site greasetank.com was previously archived, the administrator is deceased (reference: queer-arts.org/greasetank) and the domain expired but since the new registrar disallowed robots the content is no longer available.
